FATHER THOMAS GUERRY
Fr. Tom Guerry is a native of Savannah, GA, where his family has been in the lumber and building materials industry since the 1920's. He Graduated High School at Savannah Christian graduated college from Armstrong State College (later Armstrong Atlantic State University, now part of Georgia Southern University) with a BA in History in June of 1989. Growing up, his family were members of the Episcopal Church. Fr. Tom took an interest in Orthodoxy while in college, and after two years of study and involvement in Orthodox parish life, he was received into the Orthodox Church on November 25, 1989.
After college he worked in sales and management in the building materials and steel industries in Savannah until 2005, when he enrolled in seminary the the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA. Fr. Tom was ordained a deacon in November 2008, priest in April of 2009, and graduated from the seminary in May of 2009.
From June 2009 to July 2013, he served in two churches, as both Assistant Priest at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem, NC, and Pastor of St. George Church in High Point, NC.
From August 2013 to December 2022, Fr. Tom served as Proistamenos of Sts. Markella Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Mary Esther (Fort Walton Beach), FL
He married his wife Kathy in February of 1995 at St. Paul's Savannah. For recreation, Fr. Tom loves many outdoor activities. He is also an avid reader and loves music.

Very Rev. Fr. John A. Caparisos, PhD.

A native Savannahian who grew up at St. Paul’s, Fr. John has served the parish off and on for over four decades as priest, interim priest and fill-in priest. He was ordained to the diaconate here in 1977 and to the priesthood in 1978. After a thirty-year career as a military chaplain, he retired to his beloved hometown. He and Presbytera Sophia have three children and three grandchildren. In his private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Counselor, Fr. John has served hundreds of individuals and couples. He is also a retired educator who has taught at the secondary and university levels. He works closely with Fr. Tom, his good friend, in many areas of ministry and worship, and serves several area parishes as a supply priest when needed.
